
Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): The 28 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted a lecture on HIV/AIDS at DC Ground, Wokha on May 12 with an active participation from 85 youth from Wokha town.
The lecture was conducted in collaboration with DAPCU (District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit) and an NGO called NUN (Nagaland Users Network).
The lecture was conducted in an interactive manner wherein the Medical Officer of 28 Assam Rifles highlighted the menace of HIV/AIDS and the threat it brings to the victim, an AR press note informed.
The local youth pledged to spread the awareness in the society and AR troops assured of more in-depth presentations in future in the form of documentary films, joint campaign with civil nodal agencies and district authorities, it added.
