A total of 28 personnel of the 23 Assam Rifles, Mokokchung volunteered to donate blood to the Blood Bank, IMDH Mokokchung today on the request of the president of Ao Senden, Chubawati Longchar.
Each donor donated a unit of blood each which included 9 units of B blood group, 8 units of A blood group, 10 units of O blood group and 1 unit of AB blood group.
Chubawati said that one of his relatives admitted at IMDH was in need of blood but there was no reserve in the Blood Bank. He therefore requested the Commandant of 23 Assam Rifles, Mokokchung to initiate a blood donation camp. Chubawati expressed gratitude to the Commandant of 23 Assam Rifles and the personnel who volunteered today. The blood donation camp at IMDH Blood Bank was held under the supervision of Dr Apong Sangtam, MO in the presence of Ao Senden leadership, who also expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles.
