Lancer CC and Kohima Hornbills registered win in today’s match in the ongoing 28th T20 Winter cricket challenge at local ground.
In a rather low scoring day in both the match, in the first match NST Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first and set a target of 38 runs all out in 13.5 overs with none of the batsman reaching double figure. While chasing the target, Lancer Cricket Club won the match in 4.5 Overs, with all the10 wickets to spare. Hayithung Ngullie and Temjen, the two opening batsman scored 24 and 14 runs respectively. Temsu was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 5 wickets haul and 14 runs while batting.
In the second match, BBC won the toss and opted to bat first and set a victory of 100 runs with a contribution from Lawrence 27, Yanrenthung 23 and Shiva 23. Arnab and Kepesielie came in as the opener to chase the target and scored 28 and 27 runs respectively and Anga the first down batsman added 25 quick fire runs and reached the target in 13.4 Overs. Khriesamhalie was adjudged the Man of the match for his 3 overs spell and 4 wickets conceding only 6 runs.
