A view of Porba- venue for 29th Secheku wrestling meet 2024
Kohima, January 6 (MExN): The 29th wrestling meet 2024 of Secheku Wresting Association (SWA) will take place at Porba village under Phek district on January 12.
MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, leader NPF Legislature Party will be the special guest while Thupuvecho Vadeo, President, Chakhesang Union Chümoukedima will be the guest of honour.
The champion will receive a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh while 2nd position will get Rs 80,000. The 3rd and 4th place will be awarded with Rs 60,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively. The champion in Under 16 category will pocket a cash prize of Rs 30,000 while 2nd, 3rd and 4th place will get Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
Zacuta Puro, Huvesu Puro and Wekekhe Tsido will be the referees. The judges will comprises- Thuo Movi, Tepe Venuh, Niekhuyi Lohe, Rukuto Resuh, Besuhvoyi Vadeo and Niekhozo Keroh. Huluyi D. Vadeo, reigning champion will be torch bearer of the meet.
SWA President Kuhusheyi D Vadeo will deliver presidential address while SWA technical secretary Tewetso Tsuhah will administer oath to the wrestlers. Meanwhile, CWA informed that business hour will take place on January 11 at 5:00 pm. All the units have been asked to compulsorily reach Porba before 2:00 pm on January 11.
