The 2nd edition of All Nagaland open folk song and folk fusion competition under the banner “Strings of the past, Melody of the future” took place today at Khuzama play ground. It was held under the aegis of Kekhrie Krotho Khuzama in association with Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Nagaland State AIDS Control Society, Department of Art & Culture and Nagaland Tourism.

Gracing the occasion as the special guest, MLA Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhütso lauded the efforts of TaFMA by increasing the number of people making a living through music. He hoped that such event would foster greater unity among the tribes.
Chief Event Manager, Nunese Sale emphasized the importance of providing a platform for local entrepreneurs and youngsters.

The programme was chaired by Mhathozho Khizho. Judges for the competition included; Neikuo Khezhie, Kehodi Yoho from Colored Keys and Alune Tetseo from Tetseo Sisters.

Kekhrie Krotho was formed in 2018 to promote culture and heritage of the state. It also creates awareness on issues of child, gender and initiates charitable work for people in need.

•    Solo Folk Fusion- 1st: Sabino Hibo; 2nd: Alo Ena; 3rd: Khrielhoubei Kaimo

•    Folk Song- 1st: Atenle Seb; 2nd: Menuolhounuo Lese
