2nd DTFM Zunheboto held

Zunheboto, August 11 (MExN): The 2nd District Tuberculosis Forum Meeting (DTFM) Zunheboto was held on August 8, at DCs Chamber, Zunheboto.

A press release issued by the District Media Officer(DMO), Zunheboto stated that Peter Lichamo, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman District TB Forum, Zunheboto chaired the meeting and welcomed all the participants. In his welcome note Dr C W Tungoe, CMO, Zunheboto encouraged and motivated the members to take special initiative as TB programme is one of the important public health undertakings. 

Dr G Viholi Sema, District TB Officer, Zunheboto gave a brief overview and objectives of TB Forum and highlighted about the importance to coordinate among allied departments and civil societies. She also emphasized the role of TB Forum members that is to support; supervise; monitor and ensure implementation of TB activities in the district. Dr Viholi also highlighted about the brief activities of RNTCP carried out in the district. Short testimony was given by cured TB patient and the vote of thanks was delivered by Anatoli, STS, RNTCP, Zunheboto.

The 2nd District TB Forum Meeting was attended by DC; SP; ADC; CMO; DPO (RCH &UIP); Dy.CMO, Secretary; Indian Red Cross Zunheboto;  DTO- RNTCP; EAC; STH; Church leaders and IEC bureau Zunheboto, the release added.
