The 2nd edition Rev. Moa Longchari Memorial Trophy of Baptist Mission Church (BMC) Futsal Club Championship 2025 commenced today at Reiphinyü Badze, Vürie, Kohima.
Organizing Committee convenor K. Neibou Sekhose said that the BMC Futsal Club Championship of Rev. Moa Longchari Memorial Trophy was started last year.
Eight teams will vie for the coveted champion title and it will conclude on October 31.
The teams includes; Siedze Krotho FC, Titus FC, Joshua, Vilieny ü Krotho, Samuel, Simon, Timothy and Philip.
Delivering a short speech, Khrienuo Moa urged upon the players not to play just for winning the trophy but to use the platform to build and maintain healthy friendships.
She also asked them to uphold the principle of team work to achieve a common goal.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed Bible reading by Rev. Atuo Whuorie, invocation prayer by Rev. James C. Neikhrienyü, welcome address by Vizakielie Theünuo, Chairman Thepfuko Krotho and special numbers by Ukhriesiü Sekhose and Neimenuo Kuotsu.
The honoured guests during the inaugural ceremony included; Rev. Kiezotuo Zhale (Former Senior Pastor), Kelhoungu-ü Temsü (Mother of Late Rev. Moa), Dr. Neiphi Kire, Chairman BMC Executive Council, Medonguzo Sekhose, Chairman, Pastor & Deacon Krotho, Thosiele-ü Tungoe, Chairperson, Thenuko Krotho and Rüguozelie Kire, Youth Director, BMC.
The inaugural ceremony was compered by Ruokuoneituo Belho and Neilazo-ü Whuorie.
