2nd Kiphire District Football Association championship kicks off

The much awaited 2nd Edition of Kiphire District Football Association Championship (KDFA) began today with great enthusiasm drawing players from 13 teams, supporters and well-wishers from across Kiphire district. The  event was graced by Sentinungba Longchar, District Horticulture Officer, as Special Guest in the presence of District Administration Officials, public leaders and NGO’s.

Addressing the gathering Sentinungba Longchar lauded the efforts of the organizers in providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents. He encouraged the players to compete in the true spirit of sportsmanship and highlighted the importance of football in fostering unity, discipline, and teamwork among youth in a vibrant district like Kiphire.

He stated that sports is not just about winning trophies but about building character and bringing communities together.

He stressed on maintaining strict discipline, workmanship, and professionalism so as to compete in state and national level to bring laurels to Kiphire district. 

Welcome address was delivered by Apongse Sangtam, President,KDFA, invocation by Alison, Associate Pastor, KTBL and Special number by Litekhing C Sangtam, while program was chaired by Rezila Sangtam.
