The second edition of the Kohima District Inter School Football Tournament will take place from June 25 to July 8 at Kohima Local Ground.
Altogether, 30 educational institutes, five from government schools and 25 from private schools under Kohima district will vie for the coveted champion title.
Informing this during a press conference here today, Royal Club president Er. K. Miachieo said that the tournament is jointly organized by Royal Club Kohima, department of school education and Youth Resources & Sports.
The Champion will win a cash prize of Rs. 70,000 while the runners-up will get Rs. 50,000.
Semi finalists will also get Rs. 20,000 each.
Cash award amounting to Rs. 5000 each will also be given to best cheering school, best discipline team and player of the tournament.
The Royal Club exudes confidence on the upcoming talents and bank on their hard work, dedication and commitment where skills and talents are in abundance and that harnessing the building talents and molding them shall again facilitate players from Nagaland find their rightful place in the world of football.
The Royal Club is keeping in touch with Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio to grace the inaugural function.
