TUENSANG, JUNE 29 (MExN): The 2nd Men’s Summer Star Basketball Championship, organized by the Basketball Association Tuensang District, concluded on Friday at the Multi Discipline Sports Stadium in Tuensang Town.
The three-day tournament, which began on June 26, featured six teams: 11 Hour, Berserkers, Blazed, Kraken, Rising Stars, and Team Imposters.
After a single round-robin league stage, four teams advanced to the playoffs: Team Imposters, 11 Hour, Kraken, and Berserkers. Team Imposters and 11 Hour won their respective playoff matches to reach the final.
In the championship game, Team Imposters defeated 11 Hour with a score of 97–84. RiliseThonger of Team Imposters was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament. He scored 40 points, recorded 3 assists, and secured 14 rebounds in the final.
