Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Menukhol John made the announcement at a press conference today in Kohima.

Two were from Dimapur and one from Kohima. According to John, one was asymptomatic, while the other two displayed mild symptoms.

He said that contact tracing was on and urged the public not to panic. "We are going for aggressive surveillance as well as treatment protocol on how to take care of them. Rest assured we have everybody (returnees) under our radar."

He appealed, "Do not stigmatise our patients and also be supportive of our health workers, who are looking after them."

As per other official sources, all three were placed in isolation from the day of arrival.

The tests were done at the BSL-3 laboratory, NHAK.
