Kohima, November 27 (MExN): With festive season upon the capital city, members of New Market Area Panchayat and Sanitation Committee, New Market jointly distributed and placed about three-hundred dustbins outside the shops located within the colony jurisdiction on November 26.
Dustbins are the most essential products in order to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our surroundings. In order to generate awareness on sanitation and sensitize the denizens to cleanliness, the Sanitation committee formally declared ‘litter free zone’ in New Market (Ser) Area, Ward No.8 on June 23 this year. The colony Panchayat also recently passed an order to ban the use of plastics as wrappers for products under its locality.
