33rd Chessore Area GBs Association holds general session 

Chessore, December 11 (MExN): The 33rd Chessore Area GBs Association general session was held with S Keoshu Yimkhiung, MLA and Advisor IPR as special guest at Kiutsükiur village on December 10. 

In his address, Keoshu reminded that village authorities and village chieftains are “the foundation of our society and strong society dependent upon strong village authority, as GBs are the keeper of our custom and tradition.” He urged upon the village heads to revive the village economy by farming cash crops which is suited best to one’s climate. ‘We need to plan well even in farming sector,’ he said and added, “government of Nagaland is given more importance to our farmers.”

As per the DIPR report, the programme was chaired by Mukam, Vice-President CAGBA; invocation was said by Kiumehan, Pastor KVBC, welcome speech by T Zhelo Hd GB, Kiutsükiur village and keynote address by Tochimong K President CAGBA. Thsuvisie Phoji, DC Shamator and S Throngso President YTC also spoke during the function.
