DIMAPUR, APRIL 7 (MExN): Twenty Four organizations have called for a 36 hour Karbi bandh from 5:00am of April 10 to 5:00pm April 11. A joint statement from the organizations informed that the bandh has been called in protest against “shirking of duty, abdication of constitutional responsibility and falsehood of the present leaders of the KAAC and illegally continuing in the Council.” It meanwhile informed that “all students and staff of educational institutions having examinations, doctors and staff of health services, officers and men of electric power supply, milk supply and water supply are exempted from the bandh.”
