37 ‘national workers’ join GPRN/NNC (AB)

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 28 (MExN): Thirty Seven senior army and civilian “national workers” from different groups have joined the GPRN/NNC (AB) led by Francis Kikon. Those who joined include the chief of army, his deputy and immediate subordinate of the NNC/FGN (TM Rhakho), the GPRN/NNC (AB) MIP said in a statement.

The MIP alleged that several individuals within the NNC had formed splinter groups “to extort and harass the people for selfish ends” and said it was time such groups refrained from “anti-national activities” and worked towards unity.

The members who joined include Maj Gen Langshi K, Brigadier Naro Kikon, Lt Col Chivoto Khusoh, Maj Kuveyi Vero, Maj Vechito Vero, Maj Rami Venuh and Lt Povezo Lohe.

Senior members from other groups who joined are Lt Col Thamo Oemu, Capt Sosinglo Kent, Capt Chutemlo Magh, Lt Khwanchlo Tseal, Lt Lekhao Magh, Sgt Maj Phayalo Rengma, Sgt Hawachu Rengma and Sejelo Oemu, the statement said.

In addition, 22 other national workers from various major and smaller groups have also joined the GPRN/NNC (AB), it added.
