Galilee Team triumphed in men's football after defeating Bethany Team 4-2 at the ongoing 3rd ACYA Sports Meet 2018 here organised by Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA), St. Fracis de Sales (SFS), Parish Kohima.
Galilee team entered the final match after defeating Jerusalem Team, while runner up Bethany Team beat Mt.Tabor Team in its way to the final.
In men's basketball final match, Bethany Team defeated Mt. Tabor Team 27 - 20 to become the champion.
Bethany beat Jerusalem Team while runner-up Mt. Tabor Team edged out Galilee Team in the semi-finals, respectively.
Galilee Team took the trophy in women’s volleyball defeating Mt. Tabor Team 3 sets to nil. Galilee Team defeated Bethany Team, while Mt. Tabor Team beat Jerusalem Team in their respective semi-final matches.
The second day’s events of the sports meet will take place at the IG Stadium on Saturday. The events include badminton, table tennis, arm wrestling, chess etc.
