3rd Kohima Dist Chess C’ship 2023 concludes

A two day long 3rd Kohima District Chess Championship 2023 under the aegis of the Kohima District Chess Association (KDCA) concluded today at Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) complex, Kohima.

Mughaho Awomi, secretary Nagaland Chess Association and join secretary AICF assisted the championship as chief arbiter with three appeal committee members; Visanyiizo Kuotsu, Kevilekho Zumvii and Seyiekhrietuo Mere.

In general category, Roko Angami sponsored the first prize at Rs. 20,000, second prize at Rs. 15,000 by Biglife Events, 3rd prize at Rs. 10,000 by Neidilhoutuo Sechii and 4th prize of Rs. 5000 by Khrieketoulie Sekhose.

Kekhriesilie Khoubve, Seyiekhrielhou Kuotsu and Bodyline Gym, Keziekie Kohima sponsored first prize of Rs. 7000, second prize of Rs. 5000 and third prize of Rs. 3000 respectively for Under 16 Category. Alezo Rino sponsored a cash prize of Rs. 1500 each for the oldest and youngest player.

The award ceremony was chaired by KDCA vice president Seyiekhrietuo Mere while KDCA advisor Visanyiizo Kuotsu led prize distribution ceremony.
Vote of thanks was proposed by KDCA property secretary Kevisilie Lohe.
