WOKHA, OCTOBER 31 (MExN): The third edition of the Tokhu Emong Open Badminton Championship 2023, themed 'Smash for Unity,' commenced today at the GHSS Wokha indoor stadium. The event, organized by the Wokha District Badminton Association, had Samuel Ezung, President of the Wokha District Football Association, as the special guest.
This year, the championship features only three events due to limited women participants in the district: senior men's singles, senior men's doubles, and veteran doubles. The champions of these three categories will be awarded a prestigious running trophy, along with cash prizes and certificates sponsored by Myingthungo Ababe Ezung, OSD of the Transport Department, and Janthungo Kikon, Chairman of the Tsungiki Village Council.
