DIMAPUR, JULY 3 (MExN): Dimapur Deputy Commissioner, Sushil Kumar Patel in a public notice today cautioned against land transactions between individuals/village councils with regard to the left out portion of existing road along the proposed 4 lane road along Chumukedima to Medziphema. “These lands are government property acquired for general public use of the state of Nagaland and this development is likely to disturb the construction of 4 lane road along the said stretch, since the left out portion shall be used for public utility service in future,” the notice informed. The DC therefore urged the public neither to sell nor purchase such plots of land as “such transactions if brought to his notice shall be made null and void.” The DC further cautioned that failure to comply with the order will attract severe legal actions as per the Nagaland Eviction of persons in Unauthorized Occupation of Public Land (Amendment) Act 1978.
