43 active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland

Kohima, June 1 (MExN): No new COVID-19 cases were reported on Monday and the state’s tally of active cases remained at 43 as of June 1.


All the active cases are related to the Shramik special train from Chennai that reached the state on May 22 and are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. Active surveillance is going on to prevent further spreading of the infection, according to the daily briefing from Minister, Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu.


Till date, a total of 2782 samples have been tested out of which 1656 samples tested negative and 43 are positive. Results for 1083 samples are awaited.
