Altogether 10,955 applicants had been registered at Employment Exchanges for job assistance in the state during 2004-05. According to an official source, there are a total of 43, 885 applicants remaining on the live register of employment exchanges in the state. Out of these, there are 464 post graduates, 4435 graduate, 8479 pre-university, 12, 520 matriculate, 17,432 below metric, 190 degree (tech) and another 365 diploma holders. Out of 43, 885, there were 31,714 male and 12, 171 female. During 2004-05, 17 applicants were placed in various establishments through the assistance of the employment exchanges in the state. Out of 17 placements, 10 were male and seven were female.
