46-hour movement restrictions re-imposed on NH 29 stretch

Starts October 24, 7 am till October 26, 5 am 

Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): In order to facilitate the progress of the four lane construction works, the Dimapur district administration has imposed more restrictions of movement along the Chathe River Bridge (Patkai Bridge) to Kukidolong stretch of National Highway 29 from October 24.

According to a circular issued by Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Soundararajan on Wednesday, starting 7:00 am on October 24 to 5:00 am on October 26, there will be total restriction of all movement along the stretch.

The restriction is necessitated to facilitate speedy completion of works and as a precautionary measure to prevent injury, loss of life and damage to property, the DC said in his order. 

The DC informed the public to take the alternative route for light vehicles only via 7th mile-New DC Office-Shokhuvi-Razaphe-Mhaikam-Pimla-Mhainamtsi--Jhornapani/Medziphema and vice versa.
