The 46th wrestling meet of the Angami Sports Association (ASA) concluded here today. In the free style wrestling Under-17 girls (46 kg), Khrieleno (SASA) bagged first position while Vikono Kezo (SASA) claimed second.
In 49 kg, Vizoseno Kiso (SASA) claimed first while Nosezonu (SASA) was the runner-up.
In the Senior boys (57 kg) category, Sedeneito Sano (WASA) was first while Vilazoto Ngukha (SASA) was second. In 65kg, Ruokuokelie Khawakhrie (WASA) was first and Bisekhoto Gwirie (WASA) was second. In 74kg event, Petekhrietuo Pienyii (NASA) was first while Neithongulie Kuotsu (SASA) was second. In 86 kg, Kevizhakho (WASA) was the winner and Rokokhoto Lhousa (WASA) was the runner-up.
In the Under-17 boys (46 kg) event, Petekhrielie Theiinuo (NASA) and Zayiekolie Kiso (SASA) were first and second respectively. In 50 kg, Metsikolie Zhunyii (WASA) was first and Seyieroko Seyie was second. In 58 kg, Rokokhoto Lhousa (WASA) and Diethosituo Yano were first and second respectively. In 63 kg, Medozhavi Lhousa (WASA) was the winner and Thezapfiituo Chiisi (WASA) was the runner up.
Altogether, 18 Naga style wrestlers and 24 free style wrestlers were selected to represent ASA at the forthcoming Naga wrestling meet scheduled for March 14 to 15.
Angami Public Organization (APO) president Dr. Kepelhousie Terhiija graced the valedictory programme as the guest of honour and gave away prizes to the winners.
