Chumoukedima, August 2 (MExN): The LI-NING 47th Nagaland Inter-District Badminton Championship 2025 concluded at the K. Kire IPS Indoor Badminton Stadium, NAPTC Chumoukedima on August 1.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Training), Imnalensa, who graced the closing ceremony as the Special Guest, lauded the badminton officials for their perseverance and passion, stating that their efforts reflected true dedication to sports.
Addressing the gathering, Imnalensa also complimented the young athletes from different districts, noting that “their energy and spirit brought life to the championship.” Expressing optimism for the future of badminton in the state, he said, “many among them would go on to represent the state and would serve as future inspirations for the sports.” Acknowledging the contributions of the coaching staff, he said, “they are the architects behind the players’ dream.”
The closing ceremony began with an invocation prayer led by Imlimenba Jamir, Youth Director of the Police Baptist Church. Short speeches were also delivered by the President of the Nagaland Badminton Association (NBA) and the tournament referee.
The championship, which featured participants from 13 districts across the state, began on July 29.
