The Angami Sports Association (ASA) is all set to conduct the 49th ASA meet on March 18 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Zhaleo Rio, Advisor, Sericulture, Excise and Minority Affairs will be the special guest for the inaugural function while Medo Yhokha, Advisor, Technical Education and Election will be the guest of honour at the valedictory function.
The Association informed that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s meet has been reduced to a one-day event consisting of men’s football and women’s volleyball events only.
It also informed that all SOPs issued by the Government will be strictly and mandatorily followed during the course of the meet.
The inaugural function will start from 9:00 am onwards. The function will be chaired by ASA vice president (Organization) Viketouzo Meyase while welcome address will be delivered by ASA president Lhoubeizo Kesiyie.
ASA games secretary Kelhouneisa Khezhie will administer oath to the participating teams. Kohima District Football Referee Association and Kohima District Volleyball Association will officiate the one day meet.
