TENING, SEPTEMBER 29 (MExN): The 4th Inter-Ward League organised by the Tening Town Youth Organization (TTYO) under Peren district commenced at the Local Ground, Tening on September 29.
TTYO President Bakam, in his keynote address, said that this year’s event is being held under the theme “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,” emphasising both grassroots sports promotion and environmental responsibility. “As we promote grassroots football we also take a stand for our environment. We have taken small but meaningful steps today,” he stated.
The week-long league will feature both football and volleyball competitions and will culminate on October 4.
The inaugural programme was graced by ADC Tening, K. Furhesie Nyuwi. The programme was chaired by Namdunchap Newmai and also featured a solo performance by Bamni.
