4th KSU volleyball c'ship 2018 underway

  Our Correspondent Kohima | November 2   The 4th edition of Kiruphema Students’ Union (KSU) Open Volleyball- Cum- 1st Penalty Shoot-out tournament kicked start today at Kiruphema Local Ground, Peducha under the aegis KSU.   Gracing the inaugural function as special guest, Krosal Neikha, 1st class contractor said “It is a tournament to promote young talents. It is a tournament to bring unity within the people of Kiruphema and outside.”   Expressing happiness over the participation of outside teams as well in this 4th edition, Neikha said “Your participation has added flavour to the tournament and portray a positive image of KSU amongst the sports fraternity.”   Altogether, 14 volleyball teams and 17 teams for penalty shoot-out are taking part in the tournament.   The grand finale will take place on November 3 with WASA president Kobou Mezhiinyii as guest of honour.   Earlier, the opening ceremony was chaired by KSU president Vikosatuo Visienyü while welcome address was delivered by organizing committee convenor Neicasato Visienyü. KSU games and sports secretary Vikovor Yavio administered oath to the teams.
