4th LMYO sports meet kicks off

Peren, December 28 (MExN):  The 4th sports meet of Lekie Mtei Youth Organsiation (LMYO) kicked off today at Lekie Village Local Ground with Azeu Namcyn Hau, OSD to Deputy Chief Minister, Planning & Transformation, National Highway gracing the Inaugural Program as special guest.  The sports meet is holding events in Football, Volleyball and Badminton. 

Altogether 51 teams, both men and women, are competing in the 3-day event. Speaking on the occasion, Hau called for “unity, peace and friendship between Ndunglwa and Lekie Village” and advocated that, every year, a day must be set aside to celebrate the friendship between the two Villages. 

Earlier, the inaugural program commenced with flag hoisting ceremony by the special guest. Chairman of Lekie Church Guest House, Alui invoked God’s blessings. The welcome address was delivered by Kirangbe, President of LMYO while a folk dance was presented by Heleilungbe & Co. Oath taking was led by Iteibabe.
