Our Correspondent Kohima | May 2 MLA Neiba Kronu today formally declared open the 4th Pfutsero Town Inter-ward Football Tournament at Pfutsero Sports Complex under the aegis of Pfutsero Town Sports Association. Speaking on the occasion, Kronu highlighted the various sports facilities like Pfutsero Sports Complex, Indoor Table Tennis Stadium, Multi-purpose indoor stadium etc. which were made available for the youth of the area through centrally sponsored schemes initiated by him. He further urged the youth to avail these facilities and excel not only at the state, national but also international level. He reminded the youths that there is no shortcut to sporting excellence but through hard work and discipline as well as complete abstinence from habit forming substances. Kronu acknowledged the selfless service of the traffic constable Neingupe Marhu to keep the town clean by disposing the town garbage daily and provided him with financial assistance to keep up the good work. The inaugural function was chaired by Deko Chiero, Vice President Pfutsero Town Sports Association. Earlier, welcome addressed was delivered by Vekhosa Ruho, president PTSA while PTSA sports secretary Wetshoteu Lekro administered oath to the participating teams. The tournament will go on till May 5.
