5-day residential workshop for youth at NEZCC

Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): Sanskar Bharati Poorvottar, an all India cultural organization working to uplift artists and the cultural heritage of the North East region of India, is organizing 5 days residential ‘Yuva Kala Sadhna Shivir’ – an orientation and workshop for youth on cultural integration and peace in North East – at NEZCC Dimapur from March 25 to 29.  

Artists and practitioners below the age of 40 years from eight states of North East, i.e., Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura and Sikkim, will take part in the workshop cum conclave, informed a press release from Coordinator Amen Jamir.  

Eminent ‘gurus’ of different art fields like Dance, Drama, Painting, Music and Paridhanam will put their efforts towards polishing the art skills of artists and practitioners to enhance their devotion and potential in art and culture, it added.  

Resource persons of the programme are: Kheyal Gayan – Pt. Sharad Mani Tripathi, Gorakhpur; Flute – Pt. Chetan Kumar Joshi, Delhi; Tabla – Pt. Nilay Kanti Dutta, Silchar Assam; Kothok Dance – Dr. Purnima Pande, Lucknow; Odisi Dance – Aloka Kanungo, Kolkata; Theater – Shree Rohit Tripathi, Delhi and Bipin Kumar, NSD, Sikkim; Painting – Lalit Kala Academy, Rajasthan; Naga instruments – Moa & Arenla Subong, Onentoshi Jamir; Naga traditional dances – Senior most artist from Nagaland; Fashion & Designing – Exotic Echo (Loin Loom).
