Delhi, May 16 (Agencies): Five Nagas from Nagaland State and Manipur State got through the prestigious civil services examination, 2006, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Two are from Nagaland state(Created in 1962 by Government of India) and three are from Manipur state.
According to the results declared on Monday, the two from Nagaland included Temsunaro Jamir and Kesonyu Yhome, while the candidates from Manipur are the three youth from Ukhrul, they are Chiphang Arthur, M C Omi Ningshen and Worngam Ningshen.
Altogether 474 candidates qualified for civil services. Mutyalaraju Revu from West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh topped the examination, while Anindita Mitra, ranked eighth, was first among the woman candidates.
