
Maligaon, October 28 (MExN): The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has rescued 501 persons including minors and women during January to September this year. The RPF also rescued 12 persons including minor boys and girls; who were rescued from trains and stations in different operations conducted over NFR from October 20 to 26, NFR CPRO Guneet Kaur informed in a press release on Thursday.
Further, 74 persons were rescued from being trafficked during January to September this year and during this period, the RPF also apprehended 20 persons involved in human trafficking, as per the release.
