55th Nagas’ Meet Delhi on November 16

New Delhi, November 13 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Union, Delhi (NSUD) will be organising its 55th Nagas’ Meet under the theme “Reminiscing the Glorious Past, Celebrating the Present and Hope for the Future” on November 16 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.   The Program is Freshers’ welcome function cum cultural event with a motive to create a congenial atmosphere for the new entrants in the capital city and towards promoting the distinct and rich cultures of the Nagas.   The gathering will witness the coming together of Nagas living in Delhi & NCR from all walks of life including students, seniors, church elders and working members.   The function will be graced by Tongpang Ozukum as Chief Invitee, Minister Public Works Department, Govt of Nagaland and Sapu Bhattacharyya, Managing Director, NEC Energy Private Limited as Guest of Honour; K James VR Rtd MFS, Managing Director NEREFS Ltd, NERHOFIC Ltd, NESEE and Gawang Hakhun, President Naga Students’ Federation, Arunachal Pradesh as Chief Patron and Special Invitee respectively.   The President NSUD, Luikang Bruce stated that this is the biggest annual event of the Nagas in and around Delhi to “convey a message of oneness among all groups of people and also to protect and promote our rich culture rather than being influence by other cultures”.   It is a daylong event that comprises of music, fashion, food and momentously acknowledging the Nagas excelling in various fields and at the same time to provide a platform for young Naga artiste to showcase their talents, a press note from General Secretary NSUD Mathiuchunbou Rimai informed.
