56 from various political groups join NSCN (IM)

Hebron, May 20 (MExN): 56 people from different Naga political organizations have joined the NSCN (IM), according to a press release from MIP, NSCN (IM). Among the 56, 7 were from NNC, 3 from NNC (N/A), 1 from FGN, 8 from NNC/GDRN, 32 from GPRN/NSCN, 2 from NSCN (K), and 3 were from NSCN (R).  

The Joint Council of NSCN (IM) consisting of the Steering Committee Executives, Cabinet Kilonsers, Deputy Kilonsers and Heads of Departments while welcoming the new members appreciated the “bold and mature decision taken by them keeping in mind the positive changes taking place since the signing of the Framework Agreement on 3rd August, 2015 and the aspirations of the Nagas,” it said. The home-comers, the release added, expressed their sincere commitment and unreserved confidence with the NSCN (IM) leadership and vowed to strive together to bring about a final solution.  

It was further informed that home-comers from GPRN/NSCN while addressing the Vice-President of the NSCN (IM) Gen. (retd.) Kholi Konyak, Ato Kilonser Th. Muivah, Kilo Kilonser Rh. Raising, Tatars, Heads of Departments, and other top ranking leaders expressed belief that the NSCN (IM) leaders are the true leaders who can bring a lasting solution. The home-comers also appreciated the Collective Leadership of the NSCN (IM) for welcoming them into their fold.  

The Kilo Kilonser of NSCN (IM) Rh. Raising while welcoming the home comers on behalf of the Collective Leadership expressed appreciation and exhorted the home-comers and the gathered members to give their best for the cause of the Nagas. He encouraged the members to give what they can for the nation without expecting anything in return.
