KOHIMA, OCTOBER 13 (MExN): The 5th all Don Bosco Schools Nagaland Don Bosco Tournament 2018 was held at DBHSS on October 12 and 13. According to a press release, it was attended by 370 students and staff from Seven Salesian Schools namely - Don Bosco Mon, Don Bosco Wokha, Don Bosco Dimapur, Don Bosco Zubza, Don Bosco Kohima, Christ King Kohima and Little Flower Kohima. The participating teams competed in basketball and volleyball.
Don Bosco Kohima (Boys) and Don Bosco Wokha (Girls) emerged champions in basketball. Don Bosco Zubza and Don Bosco Kohima won in volleyball. The runners-up in basketball were Don Bosco Zubza (Boys) and Little Flower Kohima (Girls). Don Bosco Dimapur (Boys) and Don Bosco (Girls) were runners-up in volleyball.
The release added that Elias T Lotha, Transport Commissioner, Nagaland was the special invitee for the closing ceremony. It said that Lotha delivered an inspiring message while stating that the Salesians through sports and other activities has enabled the youth to discover their talents and mould them to excel. “He invited the young people to build human society beyond the barrier of tribe, religion and language,” the release said.
