
Dimapur, September 15 (MExN): Sumi Boys Club(SBC) emerged as this year’s 5th Altrura Open football Tournament 2018 champions. The tournament culminated here at Chümoukedima Town Local Ground, Dimapur with Razouvotuo Chatsu, Chairman Chümoukedima Village Council and Chümoukedima Area Village Chairman Association as the Special Invitee at the Closing ceremony.
In his speech, he stated that games and sports play a great role in our society. He encouraged players to develop free and healthy competition. Adding that games and sports personalities are given high respect and honor and are paid well, he encouraged the players to give their best and play with true sportsman spirit and excel in higher level.
Sumi Boys Club(SBC) won 4-0 against Vidima Youth Organisation and walked home with cash Rs 70,000 along with the trophy. The runners up, Vidima Youth Organisation also walked away with a cash prize of Rs 40,000 and a trophy.
CABA Youth Ministry was adjudged ‘Best discipline team’ of the tournament and was awarded Rs 10,000 and citation. In the Individual Category, Kito (SBC) was conferred with Player of the tournament and Hatrick while Best Goal keeper was given to Eshang (VYO), Best Defender to Janghao(FC Pegasus) and Highest Scorers went to Meren (CABA YM) and Kito (SBC. The individuals were also awarded cash award and citation.
The program was attended by leaders from different organisations, Angami Students Union (ASU), Kaheli Chophy, Femina Miss India 2017,and a host of well-wishers.
