The 2-day long 5th Inter-departmental Badminton Tournament concluded today at Multi- Purpose Hall, NLA, Kohima. B Henok Buchem, Deputy Commissioner Kohima graced the closing ceremony as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Buchem acknowledged and appreciated the Inter- Department Badminton Club (IDBC) for organizing the 5th edition of the Inter-departmental Badminton Tournament 2025, bringing players from various government departments.
He stated that the Tournament of this nature for govt officials is important to improve inter- departmental coordination, collaborative effort in serving the state towards shared goals.
While witnessing the final matches, he commented that participants exhibited team spirit, resilience and congratulated all the winners.
Kelhikha Kenye, Deputy Mission Director Samagra Shiksha & Member IDBC proposed vote of thanks.
62 teams representing 24 departments participated in the 2025 edition.
