DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 21 (MExN): The 5th Kuki Students' Organisation Nagaland (KSON) sports meet (Chavang Golseh) 2018 under the theme 'Sweat for Success' concluded on October 20 at its Head Quarter, Ahthibung town, Peren.
A press note informed that 10 sports events in both mens and womens categories were held during the week long sports Meet. In the Men's Football, Sirhima YSU defeated Songlhuh YSU with 1 goal to claim the Men's Football title. In the Men’s Volleyball, Bungsang YSU defeated Inbung YSU while in Women’s Volleyball, Bongkolong YSU and Phanjang YSU emerged as the winners and runners up respectively.
Lun K Tungnung, Social Worker and Legal Consultant attended the closing ceremony as the special guest. In his speech, he encouraged the youth to sweat in order to succeed in their careers whether in sports or in the field of education.
The overall championship of the meet was Bongkolong YSU with 3 Golds, 4 Silvers; followed by Ahthibung YSU. The best disciplined award went to Phaipijang YSU.
