Kohima, October 13 (MExN): Kohima Town Club (KTC) has announced the launch of the 5th KTC championship 2023, scheduled from November 11 to 25 at the IG Stadium in Kohima. This open tournament invites clubs from Nagaland and other states to register, operating on a knock-out system.
A press release from club stated that Kohima Town Club was established on December 1, 2016, with a mission of ‘For the Community, for the Game,’ consists of 35 members and aims to promote football not only in Kohima but also throughout Nagaland.
5th KTC championship will carry a total prize money upto Rs 5,10,000, with the winning team taking home Rs 2,20,000, the runners-up receiving Rs 1,40,000, and semi-finalists each getting Rs 30,000.
Individual awards include a Rs 20,000 prize for the player of the tournament, along with accolades for the best goalkeeper, defense, midfielder, highest scorer, coach, referee, and best fan club, each carrying a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
