Mokokchung, August 9 (DIPR): The Tournament being organized by the Mokokchung District Table Tennis Association (MDTTA) and sponsored by Moasangba Jamir, the Proprietor of Hotel Metsuben, Mokokchung. The 5th Mokokchung District Table Tennis tournament kick started today, August 9 at Multi –purpose Indor Stadium, Mokokchung with ADC and Administrator, Mokokchung Kesonyu Yhome as the Chief Guest. Delivering his speech, the Chief Guest mentioned his appreciation to the members of the MDTTA and Moasangba for their collective effort in organizing and sponsoring the tournament thus, giving the opportunity to the youngsters to showcase their talents. Yhome also said that sports and music should not be taken just as a hobby but to take it with all seriousness saying that now-a-days it has become more of an industry for those who dedicate and discipline themselves as keeping their sportsmanship.
President MDTTA, Moasashi Jamir in his welcome address also urged the participants to give their best no matter what, saying that winning are not the most important but it is the participation, which is valued the most. Altogether players from 8(eight) Schools (both Boys and Girls) will be competing in the two (2) days tournament.
