Tese ward lifts men’s football champion

Tese ward emerged as champions of the men’s football event at the 5th edition of Pfutsero Town Inter-ward tournament 2021, which concluded today at Pfutsero Sports Complex.
Tese Ward downed Mission Ward 4-0 in final to lift the football running trophy of late Neikhrope Ritse.
In women’s volleyball, Mission ward defeated Rukizu ward in final to win the champion title. Kudecho Khamo, chairman Entrepreneurs Development Agency, Kohima graced the closing ceremony and gave away prize to the winners.
Addressing the function, he stressed on unity, peace and tranquility through sports and also encouraged the public to have positive attitude and build Pfutsero town to become more vibrant and beautiful.
He shared his vision that Pfutsero town can become a Centre of Learning, Mission, Sports and Business.
He also expressed his happiness over many developmental works undertaken by Neiba Kronu, Minister for Planning & Co-ordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. He also encouraged the youths to be positive and choose their career carefully and become professionals as “we are living in the most competitive world.”
Khamo advice the youths to take up sports and entrepreneurship as a profession seriously as it can make them rich and famous.
Further, he challenged the players to make the best use of their talents to reach to the highest level of sports arena. Vote of thanks was proposed by PTSA vice president Vekusu Chuzho. The tournament, which commenced on October 20, was organized by Pfutsero Town Sports Association.
