Deenix CC and Dimapur CC enters quarter-final
Kohima, March 24 (MExN): Deenix Cricket Club, Mon and Dimapur Cricket Club entered the quarter-final of the 5th Silver Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament organised by Youth Department of Nepali Baptist Church Kohima under the theme ‘Peace and Unity through Cricket’ at Kohima Local ground.
Playing the first match of the day, Deenix CC Mon defeated Friends CC Kohima by 7 wickets.

Playing the first match of the day, Deenix CC Mon defeated Friends CC Kohima by 7 wickets.
FCC won the toss and electing to bat 83 scored 19.3 overs losing all wickets. Deenix bowler Stephen took 4 wickets while Pawan took two wickets. Chasing the target Deenix managed it in 10.2 over losing only 3 wickets with Ahot and Wangtok scoring 22 each. FCC bowler Taju took 2 wickets.
Stephen of Deenix was adjudged man of the match.
In the last pre-quarter final match, Dimapur CC knocked Eleven Weavers Kohima by 83 runs. Taking the bat, DCC set a target of 206 for 6 in 20 overs with Shanwaz contributing 90 runs and remained not out while Saddique scored 52. Eleven Weavers bowlers Peter and Vishal took two wickets each.
Eleven Weavers chasing the huge target were all out in 18.5 overs scoring 123 runs. Sujay and Hanilong took three wickets each for DCC. Man of the match went to Shanwaz and was also awarded the maroon cap.
