6 more COVID-19 patients recover  in Mizoram

Six more COVID-19 patients recovered and discharged on Thursday in Mizoram. This latest update reduced the active cases of COVID-19 in the State to 115.

 

In addition, there was not a single fresh case of COVID-19 reported in Mizoram in the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the State still stands at 145 on Thursday.

 

According to the Health department, 1186 samples were tested at Zoram Medical College and Lunglei Civil Hospital in the past 24 hours but all the results returned negative.

 

The Health department informed that 809 samples from Aizawl district, 34 from Lunglei district, 26 from Siaha district, 49 from Kolasib district, 106 samples from Mamit district, 92 from Lawngtlai district, 39 from Khawzawl district, 4 from Serchip district and 25 samples from patients of ZMC were tested in the past 24 hours for COVID-19. 

 

Apart from these samples, two samples from two individuals hailing from West Bengal and Bihar and who are under quarantine in Mizoram were among those samples tested in the past 24 hours.

 

Meanwhile, regarding those recovered and discharged patients on Thursday, the Health department said that among those 6 discharged individuals are---3 from Kolasib district, 2 from Aizawl district and from Khawzawl district. These 6 individuals were advised by the Health authorities for one week “self-monitoring” at their respective homes.

 

Meanwhile, a total of 1155 people, who are on the stranded people list willing to return to the State, are yet to return from outside the State, according to an official source. Some of them are in foreign countries. Of them, 7 individuals are reportedly on their way to the State.

 

The official source also said that, till date, 11,964 people have returned to the State from different parts of the country and abroad.
