Phesama emerged overall champion title of 60th annual sports meet 2022 of the Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA), which concluded today at Jakhama Local Ground.
Tsole Yhokha of Kigwema has been declared as Men’s individual champion of 60th SASA meet.
He bagged three Gold medals in 1500/5000 and 800 metre race. Women’s Individual champion was shared by two.
Avono Zashiimo of Phesama for securing two Gold medals in 400 and 800 metre race and two silver medals in 1500 metre race and Long Jump. Abeino Neihu of Kigwema for winning two Gold in Long Jump and 200 metre race and two silver medals in Triple Jump and 100 Metre race.
Viswema is SASA 60th football champion
Viswema emerged SASA 60th football champion title while Kidima stood runner up. In the exciting final match, Viswema defeated Kidima by a solitary goal.
Kidima emerged the champion title in women’s Sepaktakraw while Viswema stood runner-up.
Jakhama defeated Viswema in Men’s Sepaktakraw final to clinch the champion tile. Viswema stood runner-up.
In Women’s volleyball, Kidima emerged the champion title while Kigwema stood runner up.
Visayonu Kintso of Kidima and Neikeseno Kere of Kigwema have been declared as best spiker and best setter respectively. Mima and Kigwema stood champion and runner-up respectively in Men’s volleyball.
Vimechozo Thuphre of Kezo town and Keneiso Tepa of Mima bagged best spiker and best setter title respectively.
Kevisaho Neikha of Viswema, Kenongoto Thokhwe of Kidima and Rohovito Tetso of Jakhama have been declared as best spiker, best Tekong and best feeder respectively in Women’s Sepaktakraw event.
Seyiekhrieno Tepa of Kidima, Rokoleno Kintso of Kidima and Rukusanii Pucho of Viswema won best spiker, best Tekong and best feeder title respectively in Women’s Sepaktakraw event.
Earlier, the closing function was graced by Videlalie Zashiimo, IPS, DIGP Borders, Dimapur. The programme was chaired by SASA joint secretary Rokuo Noho while prize distribution was led by SASA joint athletics & games secretary Kelekhol Naleo.
Vote of thanks was proposed by SASA general secretary Sahovi John Phinyo.
Mentionably, the weeklong meet was marked by wrestling, athletics and games and it took place in four locations, Khuochiezie, Indoor Stadium Kohima, Jakhama Local Ground and Kimipfiiphe Ground, Kigwema.
