Maligaon, November 16 (MExN): The 61st All-India Railway Basketball Championship (Men) was inaugurated today at Northeast Frontier Railway Indoor Stadium, Maligaon by the Chief Guest N K Prasad, General Manager, NF Railway Construction Organization. The event is hosted by NF Railway Sports Association and will conclude on November 21. More than 270 players belonging to 22 teams of different Zones of Indian Railway and Railway Production Units of the country and 26 officials including referees and selectors are taking part in this year’s tournament, a press release from NF Railway informed. In the inaugural match of the championship, the host team Northeast Frontier Railway beat Metro Railway by 65-39.
