D.Khel wins Gold medal in men’s football
Kohima, January 7 (MExN): D. Khel clinched the Men’s football event at the ongoing 62nd KVSA meet, 2016, organized by Kohima Village Youth Organization(KVYO).
D. Khel edged out L. Khel by 3-2 in an exciting final match here at local ground, Kohima on Thursday.
L. Khel stormed into the lead in the 2nd minute of the game through the boots of Mhasibeituo, while D. Khel restored parity in the 6th minute from Keviphretuo to level 1-1.
Four minutes before the lemon break, Mhasibeituo again put the L.Khel into the lead in the 36th minute, while Zapungulie for D.Khel netted the equalizer goal in the 65th minute to level 2-2.
The match winner for D.Khel was netted in the injured added Keviphretuo by through a spot kick conversion.
Earlier on Thursday D. Khel beat T.Khel by 2-1 in first semi-final match and in the second semi-final match, D.Khel piped out P. Khel by a solitary goal.
Final match for basketball and volleyball today
D. Khel will play with T. Khel in the women’s basketball final, while D. Khel will take on L. Khel in the men’s final basketball on Friday. Men’s final match will be played at 9.00 am, while women’s final match will be played at 10.30 am.
In volleyball men’s D. Khel will play with T. Khel in the final match, while D. Khel will take on P. Khel in the women’s final basketball on Friday. Women’s final will be played at 9.00.am, while the men’s final match will be played at 10.30 am. All the finals matches will be played in local ground, Kohima.
Meanwhile Badminton, Chess and Table Tennis finals matches will also take place on Friday at Indoor Stadium Kohima.
Medoneituo Sekhose fastest runner of 62nd KVSA meet,2016
Medoneituo Sekhose of T.Khel emerged the fastest man of the 62nd Kohima Village Sports Association(KVSA) meet, 2016.
On Thursday in the final of the 100 meters, Medoneituo Sekhose clocked 12.00 seconds to win the Gold medal beating the defending champion MenuoKhrielie Solo also of T.Khel , who had to contend with Silver medal with a timing of 12.06 seconds and the third palce went to Seyievizo Kire of D.Khel at the time of 12.12 seconds.
