648 reach Dimapur on Monday

Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): A total of 109 Nagaland citizens from various parts of the country landed at Dimapur Airport on the first passenger flight from Kolkata to Dimapur since the relaxation of COVID-19 lockdown measures. The passengers on the Air India flight which arrived on June 1 included two Assam bound passengers.


According to the DIPR, after all necessary procedures were conducted, 36 Kohima bound passengers were sent to Kohima by buses after providing lunch at the airport. The remaining 73 were taken to Agri expo. 


As per information received from Control Room, Empowered Group, Dimapur, another 539 persons reached Dimapur on Monday.

Out of the 539 returnees, 57 came from New Delhi, 437 from Goa, 4 came from Jorhat while 41 from Guwahati by train.


The Control Room also informed that a total of 291 stranded citizens will reached the state on June 2 via buses and trains from New Delhi, Dibrugarh, Guwahati and Dehradun.
