Altogether, 69, 253 applicants remain on the live register of employment exchange in Nagaland as on December 31, 2017. This was stated in the annual administrative report 2017-18 of the department of employment, skill development & entrepreneurship tabled at the 1st session of the new house of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly here Friday. Out of 69, 253, the number of male figures at 47, 993 and female at 21, 260. The number of post graduate stands at 4,444, graduates 18, 726, pre-university- 11, 572, matriculate- 11, 647, below matric - 19, 835, degrees (tech)- 1247 and diploma – 1782. During the current year, 11, 894 fresh applicants registered at the various employment exchanges for job assistance. The report stated that there are eight Industrial Training Institute in the state, imparting in 22 trades (14 engineering and 8 non-engineering).
