Kohima, March 5 (MExN): Annual painting competition for children under the theme- “Wild Life & Environment” organized by Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF) “Nanhe Chitrakaar” today here at its office chamber. The competition was organized in two categories of 4 to 7year and 8 to 12 year of age groups.
Külüngolü Venyo, age 10 emerged first position while Lankonthung age 12 and Rajunang 10 year occupied the second and third place respectively. Azizi Phesao 7 year secured first place in 4-7 year category while Abhijit 7 year and Dziesevituo 7 year. The winners were awarded a certificate and a trophy also a certificate was presented to all the participants. Altogether 60 children including Children from Kohima Orphanage & Destitute Home took part in the painting competition. The next painting competition is scheduled to be held on March 12 at Dimapur.
Reiterating its commitment to the social cause, Amway Opportunity Foundation plays host to “Nanhe Chitrakaar”-today in Kohima. It is said that AOF has drawn overwhelming response from participants at Nanhe chitrakaar competition in various locations of East. As aptly christened, Nanhe Chitrakaar- is a pan India annual painting competition for children organized under the patronage of Amway Opportunity Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Amway India eliciting overwhelming response from the ABO parents in Kohima. Wildlife and environment ran as the leitmotif of the competition as children captured their fancy on the canvas with a riot of colors.
Amway Opportunity Foundation has also involved the children from Kohima Orphanage & Destitute Home the Sunrise Partner of Amway Opportunity Foundation to add to the spirit of Nanhe Chitrakaar. AOF has inaugurated project sunrise in 2009 partnering with the orphanage and provides educational sponsorship for the children. AOF is also committed to support the organization in the field of health, education and access to water.
