71 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Nagaland on August 30, taking the State’s tally to 3922. According to the daily status update from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, 49 out of the total cases on Sunday were from Kohima while Tuensang registered 13 cases, Mokokchung 5 and 2 each in Zunheboto and Dimapur. Armed forces made up 40 of the 71 cases while 15 were traced contacts, 11 were returnees and 5 were frontline workers.
The State also reported 109 recoveries on Sunday, taking the recovery cases to 3017 against total active cases of 887. The State has registered 8 total deaths till date.
